Southern Healthcare Systems, Inc. filed a voluntary chapter 11 petition
for relief. Southern owns and operates six (6) long-term care facilities
located in Texas, Kentucky and Tennessee. A chapter 11 trustee was appointed to serve in the case. The chapter 11 Trustee engaged Tutera
as the oversight manager and consultant for Southern’s facilities. Tutera’s
primary duties include reviewing and commenting on the clinical and
accounting aspects of Southern’s operations. These facilities were
ultimately sold in the chapter 11 proceeding.
